UMW 25th Annual Multicultural Fair Social Media Campaign

This project for Communications 370: Social Media was about developing social media campaigns for events and activities on the University of Mary Washington campus.  Working with a group, we had to develop a social media campaign to support an upcoming UMW event. The campaign had to include event promotion, event documentation, and a presentation of the campaign to the class.  My group was assigned to run the social media campaign for the 2015 UMW Multicultural Fair on April 11, 2015, an annual Spring semester event that attracts both members of the UMW and surrounding  Fredericksburg communities, and exemplifies the University of Mary Washington’s commitment to enhancing multicultural awareness.  My group broke the campaign into two major divisions: managing social media platforms and creating promotional content for the fair and for the fair’s hashtag- #UMWMultiFair. My role in the campaign was creating promotional content, such as the teaser video, creating countdown images for the days leading up to the fair, creating a design for the program of events, and organizing the group’s Google Doc and Presentation.
